Our history

Carinity Education – Glendyne opened in 1998 with five young men who had experienced extremely adverse life circumstances. Despite their history, all of these young men expressed the same desire to make a success of their lives. Lessons taught beneath the pineapple farmhouse consisted mainly of literacy, numeracy, practical farm skills and welding. These subjects were delivered under the umbrella of the Brisbane School of Distance Education.

Carinity Education – Glendyne registered as a Special Assistance School for secondary students in 2002. The school has continued to grow and now has approximately 120 young men and women attending the school.

In 2013, the introduction of Years 6 and 7 formed part of the new Middle School, catering for Years 6 through to 9.
