Carinity Education Glendyne students found success at the Fraser Coast Agriculture Show in Maryborough last week.
Glendyne won a Highly Commended award for its stall, which displayed the produce that students grow at school including oranges, lemons, limes, bananas, mandarins, tomatoes, pumpkins and macadamias.
For the first time the students’ display featured chickens that live on campus and their eggs, which are used in the school’s Glen-Dine café, run by hospitality and retail students.
Nugget, a 10-month-old Red Sussex hen cared for by Glendyne students, placed third in the poultry pets section at the Fraser Coast Agriculture Show.
Glendyne student Paris Lloyd won a Fraser Coast Agriculture Show encouragement award for her needlework dolls.
