I would just like to say thank you to the Glendyne school for all the good that you do, you have made such a difference in (Students' Name withheld) life. He would always run away from school and make himself sick, and he would cut his skin as well when he was going to the other school, he really was going through a really hard time. But now that he's at Glendyne he is very happy and loves to go to school and he no longer makes himself sick or hurts himself. To Whom it May Concern,

I have two teenage boys attending Glendyne. The sporting activities are a huge part of the boys interests. The dedication of Glendyne's teachers and helpers is a great help to the students. One of my children attends different sporting activities at least three times a week. He has been going really well in general. I believe the sports has played a major part in his happiness as well as his growth. Sports is really good for all people, especially youngsters. If Glendyne did not offer the sports, the students would miss out, and that would be a shame.

I would like to thank you and your staff for the wonderful things you do spending time with the boys in school and out. You and Nigel took the time over the Christmas holidays to take (her son) and other boys fishing in your boat and (her son) had a wonderful time. You take them on Friday afternoons motorbike riding which they really enjoy. The camping trips you put together are fantastic, the children relax and always have a great time and look forward to the next one. I think you should be commended for the great job you do. There should be more people like you and your staff who care about others. Also my sons school work has improved so much since he has been at Glendyne.

I am writing this letter to say how pleased and proud I am of my twin sons progress since they started school at Glendyne. It has been a battle for me, for the past four years. The boys didn't fit in with the normal school program. They haven't been to school since year 8 until this year. They started at Glendyne on the 3rd of February and haven't missed a beat since. They really love Glendyne, they are going so well. They look forward to going to school. I think that Glendyne is the best for kids who don't fit in. I wish that there was a Glendyne when I was a kid.

To Glendyne Education and Training Centre,

I would like to commended you on the unique structure of education you have for the boys at Glendyne. This program has been extremely beneficial to my son, who has been there for three years. Because of the male teacher influence, this has given not only my son, but other boys who attend a mentor to be guided by and befriend. As my son didn't fit into main stream schooling, he has excelled in all subjects where he hadn't before. The programs also give hands-on in metal work, mechanics and woodwork, which helps prepare them for the workplace and has a huge success rate for job placement. The camps and trips away have been most beneficial with mentoring to the boys while giving them a sense of purpose, direction and fun. My son has matured during his time at Glendyne and has a positive attitude towards life, and has gained direction for his career as a mechanic. I can only praise the staff for their dedication and caring nature with a program that has helped so many young boys from falling through the cracks in mainstream education. As a parent, i am extremely grateful for this type of alternative education, for without it my son and many other boys would have just been another statistic without education and no promise of a future. Keep up the good work, as your work and dedication will not go unnoticed or unrewarded. I feel your centre should be adopted nation wide to fill the gap for alternative education.
