Glendyne Education and Training Centre wins Queensland Child Protection Award.

Glendyne was presented with the Award for best Regional Program in Queensland Program that operates within a part of, or across, a whole region to address some aspect of child protection
Glendyne Education provides a school that caters for youth who struggle with mainstream schools and require extra one on one assistance, providing major support to the student both in and out of school. Glendyne provides mentoring through the support of, Hervey Bay City Council, Hervey Bay RSL and funding through a programme Mentor Marketplace funded by the Australian Government Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs
Glendyne also links closely with all local youth agencies and departments to assist students who may have a variety of home or personal issues.
This program is conducted on a farm property owned by Queensland Baptist Care who has contributed over 2 million dollars towards the success of this program.
The award was presented by the Minister for Child Safety, Desley Boyle at Parliament house on the 6th of September, as a part of Child Protection week.
